The Healership Academy™

Humanity does not need new wisdom. It needs to remember.

Our forefathers and foremothers substantiated wisdom from all four directions long before us. Our work is to help us return to it, together.

A Note From Our Founder

I am not here to make a new form of knowledge;

We have forefathers and foremothers who have substantiated that already from all four directions. I am here to help us have a conversation together on how to reset in the places that we have gotten so off course with certain aspects of our society has chosen to value things that disconnect us, from ourselves, others and our environment.

To summate it simply, would be to say that we need kindness in all three areas: kindness to the self, kindness to others, and kindness to the environment. Yet, we need an entire unlearning and relearning process to get there. We have a global reality on our hands that civilization has never seen before: Globalization and an Anthropocene era, mixed with disconnected traumatized folks.

To be able to return to homeostasis both socially and individually, as well as modify and adapt to new horizons of what globalization is leading to, we must be wise in our actions, choices and direction. Core values steer the way we are going, and it would be wise to connect and discern what the core values are going to be moving forward. It is challenging to know one's core values when there is fear, trauma, ego, competitive mindsets, and shallow pleasure-seeking in the way.

The outcome of what we choose in the coming decade will matter substantially, and if we choose to continue to treat the smoke rather than the fire, we will continue down a certain path. Rather, if we choose to work together to create goals related to healthy connecting and healing, we will be on a path much more suitable for the future generations. It is easy to be kind; we just make it complicated!"

Where We Are Going

Our mission and vision.

Our Mission

The Healership Academy™ carries research out of the journals and into daily life. We translate social and health science into ground-level knowledge and practice that creates systemic change. Through transformational pedagogy and multi-modal learning, we restore social values coherence, connect people to the generational patterns shaping their present, and equip individuals, practitioners, and organizations to live and lead in new ways.

Our Vision

A healing-centred world where social values coherence is the ground beneath our systems, our parenting, and our relationships. A world where generational pain is understood, named, and met with knowledge instead of shame. A world where healing culture is celebrated, normalized, and woven into how we live, lead, and belong together.

Our Commitment

Accountable to something larger than ourselves.

Healing work carries responsibility, and we hold ours openly. The Healership Academy™ anchors its practice in global and national commitments to human dignity, and we treat these as living practices rather than statements on a page. They shape our curriculum, our consultation, and the way we hold space.

We recognize that within British Columbia we are guests on stolen lands and unceded ancestral territory, and we aim to walk with humility and gratitude in our passings and relationships.

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

Our work advances good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, reduced inequality, responsible production, and peace, justice, and strong institutions.

UNDRIP

We recognize and uphold the inherent rights of Indigenous Peoples as affirmed in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, through our work, our relationships, and our advocacy.

Truth and Reconciliation

We honour the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action through ongoing learning, accountability, and meaningful action toward reconciliation and culturally safe, trauma-informed leadership.
