If you work with people, you carry responsibilities no one ever formally trained you for. How to move through conflict without shutting down. How to hold space for someone whose experience is nothing like your own. How to notice your own patterns before they run the room. These are social competencies, and they shape every workplace, every classroom, every family, and every community you belong to.
H.E.A.L. I.T. is a six-session certified training that builds these competencies from the inside out. You can enroll as an individual, as a team, or as an entire organization. You learn through immersive, experiential sessions, not lectures. You walk away with a recognized certification, and the organizations that bring this work to their people can earn H.E.A.L. I.T. Accredited Status: living proof that they meet the standards now expected of every healthy workplace, from psychological safety and respect to antiracism, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Most of us learned how to do our jobs. Very few of us were ever taught how to work well with people who see the world differently than we do. How to sit with discomfort instead of avoiding it. How to listen without fixing. How to recognize when our own history is driving our reactions. These are the skills that decide whether a team functions or fractures, whether a classroom feels safe or threatening, whether a community heals or divides.
These social competencies are not a luxury or an add-on. They are foundational to any work that involves human beings. And until now, there has been no rigorous, certified program designed to build them at the depth they require.
Organizations feel this just as sharply. Workplaces are now held to real standards: psychological health and safety, respectful conduct free of bullying and harassment, antiracism including Indigenous-specific antiracism, and genuine equity, diversity, and inclusion. Yet most organizations have only ever been handed the checkbox version. A mandatory module. A policy on a shelf. Training that protects the institution on paper while the culture underneath stays exactly the same.
Maybe you have taken training like that before. A workshop, a webinar, a required session through work. And maybe you left feeling like you barely scratched the surface, or worse, like you could not say what you really needed to say. Like the room was not safe enough to truly engage. Like you went through the motions, checked the box, and carried the same questions home with you.
H.E.A.L. I.T. was built because that experience is far too common, and because the world needs something that treats the fire, not the smoke. Most people will tell you they are so afraid of saying the wrong thing that they say nothing at all. And avoidance is exactly where conflict grows, when it could have been navigated sooner, with the right confidence, language, and connection to the work.
H.E.A.L. I.T. is a six-session training program. Each session focuses on one core social competency: Humility, Equity, Antiracism, Lateral Kindness, Inclusivity, and Trauma-Informed practice. The sessions build on each other in a deliberate sequence. You do not jump in at random. You begin at the beginning, and each session prepares you for the one that follows.
The program uses a combination of virtual reality, interactive game-based learning, facilitated group dialogue, and reflective practice. You are not sitting in a lecture hall taking notes. You are inside the learning, experiencing it, and building real skills you can use the moment you walk back into your life.
When you complete all six sessions, you earn a H.E.A.L. I.T. Certification in Social Competencies. And when enough of an organization's people carry that certification, the organization itself can earn H.E.A.L. I.T. Accredited Status.
Each session builds on the one before it. The sequence is the methodology.
You begin by looking inward. This session helps you see the assumptions, habits, and conditioning you carry into every interaction, most of which you have never been asked to examine. It covers emotional intelligence and bias, and it begins the proprietary Transformational (Un)Learning method that carries you through the whole program.
Session TwoThrough The Game Changer, a facilitated board game designed for this program, you experience what inequity actually feels like. This is learning that lands in the body as well as the mind. Then you discover your own social determinants of health, and if you choose, you play the game through them.
Session ThreeA facilitated space to explore how racial systems shape the way we see each other and ourselves. Honest, structured, and held with care so you can engage fully. We cover antiracism on the first day and Indigenous-specific antiracism on the second.
Session FourThe way people treat each other day to day is where culture lives. This session names the power dynamics that quietly erode trust and create unhealthy environments. Lateral kindness is also where we go deep into psychological safety in the workplace, giving you practical tools to build accountability, protect respectful workplaces, and prevent the bullying and harassment that harm so many.
Session FiveUsing virtual reality and interactive learning, you experience exclusion and inclusion from the inside. This is where inclusion moves from a value you hold to a skill you practise. The session includes research and real application, so you build the capacity to respond well in real-life scenarios.
Session SixYou learn how past experiences shape present reactions, in yourself and in others. This session gives you the awareness and tools to respond with clarity instead of reacting from old patterns. You move through an immersive experience of what safety requires for those carrying trauma, how to recognize a trauma response, and how to de-escalate and create safer spaces. This is the session that weaves everything together for your final application of the work.
You do not need your employer to send you, and you do not need a team to sign up alongside you. You can enroll on your own, because this certification is an asset in countless contexts and for your employability. Organizations can also run private cohorts from within their workplace, or send their people into mixed cohorts alongside participants from elsewhere.
Cohorts are capped at 25 people, because that is where the impact stays real. Every cohort is held by trained professionals who bring structure and genuine care. There are always at least two facilitators: one senior in the skills of the work, and one holding wellness and support.
There is no performance review attached to this work. The sessions are confidential. You are free to be honest, to ask the hard questions, to sit with what surfaces, and to grow at your own pace. The container is built for that kind of safety, because real learning requires it.
If you have tried training like this before and felt you could not fully show up, could not trust the room, could not get beneath the surface teaching, this was designed for you. The safety of this space is what makes the depth of the learning possible.
Most training programs teach you concepts. H.E.A.L. I.T. builds skills through experience. The program was designed by Auroara Leigh, M.Ed., using a method called the Cycle of Transformational (Un)Learning. In plain terms, each session takes you through a process: you start with what you know, you encounter something that challenges it, you sit in the discomfort of that, and you come out the other side with a deeper, more grounded understanding.
The program uses virtual reality, a proprietary board game called The Game Changer, facilitated group dialogue, and reflective exercises. These are not gimmicks. Research consistently shows that experiential, immersive learning produces deeper retention and real behavioural change. You remember what you felt, and what you felt changes how you act.
H.E.A.L. I.T. also introduces ideas you will not find anywhere else. Healership: the practice of showing up in the world from a place of personal growth already done, so that your presence makes the people around you feel safer. Where healers become leaders and leaders become healers. traumour: a word for the protective patterns we all build from hard experiences, patterns that once kept us safe and now quietly run our reactions if we never learn to recognize them. These concepts give you language for things you have always sensed but never had the words for.
When you complete all six sessions, you earn a H.E.A.L. I.T. Certification in Social Competencies. This is worth being proud of, and here is why.
Every profession that involves working with people requires social competencies. Teachers, healthcare workers, managers, counsellors, coaches, customer service professionals, community organizers, HR teams, first responders. The ability to navigate difference, move through conflict, hold space for hard conversations, and recognize your own biases and triggers is what separates someone who is good at their work from someone who is exceptional at it.
This certification says you have done the real work. You have sat inside equity and inclusion, inside psychological safety and respectful practice. You have experienced them, practised them, and grown through them. You carry skills most people never receive formal training in: the ability to stay grounded in difficult conversations, to recognize when your own history is driving your response, to hold space for someone else's experience without making it your own, and to build a culture of trust wherever you go.
Employers notice this. Colleagues feel it. Communities benefit from it. And you carry it forward into every room you enter for the rest of your life.
Organizations are not on the outside of this work looking in. You are built into it. When you bring H.E.A.L. I.T. to your people, you are doing more than meeting a requirement. You are growing the very culture those requirements were always meant to protect.
H.E.A.L. I.T. gathers these standards into one coherent path, so your organization is not chasing four separate trainings that never speak to each other. Here is how a workplace moves through it.
Begin with the Healership Organizational Readiness Assessment, an honest picture of where your culture stands today and where the work is most needed.
Your people move through the six sessions, in a private workplace cohort or in mixed cohorts, each one earning their individual certification in social competencies.
Once enough of your team carries the work, your organization earns H.E.A.L. I.T. Organizational Certification, so your commitment is visible, credible, and real social proof of safer social spaces.
The polarization, the disconnect, the difficulty of simply being in a room with people who think differently: these are not problems that will solve themselves. They are the defining challenge of this moment. Every person who does this work, who builds these competencies and carries them forward, becomes part of the answer. Every organization that does the same becomes a place where people can finally breathe.
H.E.A.L. I.T. exists because surface-level training has never been enough. Six sessions. Experiential learning that stays with you. A safe space to do honest work. A certification that means something real, because the program behind it goes deeper than anything else available, and because it gathers the standards organizations are accountable to into one coherent path.
The skills to navigate equity, inclusion, and human difference with real confidence. The personal growth to show up differently in every room you enter. A workplace culture that meets its standards because the people inside it have done the work. A certification, and an accreditation, that reflect the depth of what you have built.
This is H.E.A.L. I.T.
If you are ready to build the social competencies every person who works with people needs, your seat is waiting. If you lead an organization ready to certify your teams and pursue accredited status, reach out and we will bring this work to you.
